Inspired by Brutalist Spomenik memorials of the former-Yugoslavian regions of Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Croatia, Nedovic interprets the beauty of these bold formations into her own illuminating sculptures.

The legacy of a bygone era, these unorthodox and unusual forms are explored through their scale and repetitive use of pattern to create an aesthetic that captures the desire for an optimistic future, overlayed by Nedovic’s signature abstract and refined forms in design. The construction employs lost forms of hand building and firing techniques in the hope to preserve ancient techniques for generations to come.
